Setup instruction SquawkWin

1. Install SquawkWin

In the zip you find a folder called SquawkWin. Put this in a temporary folder (or desktop) on your pc. Open this folder and run SwInstall.exe:

Choose your FS version and click OK once !

You don’t get any messages so directly after the click you can close this window (and remove the installer if you like).

2. Opening and forwarding ports.

It is important to open and forward these 3 ports:

55008

55009

55010

Tekstvak: If you don’t open and forward this port, you will definitely have no connection or will be invisible for pilots.
Please refer to your hub/switch/router instruction on port forwarding.
Needless to say that your firewall has to be set as well

3. Launch SquawkWin

You will find a new entry in your FS menu. Select “SquawkWin” and click “Open”.

With FS2004, a multiplayer session will be launched automatically. This can take a few seconds.

A new window fully integrated in FS Window will appear. This is the SquawkWin user

interface :

4. Connecting to Network

Set your mouse over the Squawkwin’s text window and click right. The SquawkWin menu

will appear.

Select “Connect to Network...”, then choose your favourite Network. (in your case a preset IP address: 88.208.209.90:55000)

The network data are loaded from the Internet to show online servers.

A new window will appear where you can enter your network information :

On the first start-up you have to enter id, password, call sign, first name, last name and your base airport. ID and Password can be obtained by your server administrator.

Choose a server (you mostly will see only one) then click on “Connect now” or double click the server’s line.

If everything is ok, you should be connected to the network server.

Try out SquakWin, it has nice features.

If you have any questions put them on the forum.

Happy flying.
